Its Sunday so forgive my theological musings: I have often wondered why there is such animosity between Jews and Muslims (besides the obvious political/geographical conflict). Judaism and Islam spring from the same source, are both strongly monotheistic and even use a similar greeting; Peace. By contrast Christianity is Trinitarian and considered by some to be polytheistic by comparison (especially Mormons-and I dont mean that as an insult to LDS). In addition, it was the Persian King Cyrus who returned the Jews to their homeland in 539 BCE after the exile and, in effect, saved Judah/Israel. Yet Iran now supports HAMAS and Israel and Iran are at each others throats. There is also a tendency in America to automatically associate Islam with Arabs, yet the largest Islamic nation is not Arab. Conversely, are not many Hasidic Jews are still anti Zionist as well? Anyway, the innocent on both sides continue to suffer while the political blame game continues. And before anyone jumps; YES, I support Israel. Im just not keen on Netanyahu. I ask again: Please Pray for Peace.
