Heres whats happening around town and new updates: Friday-Sunday ~ Deck the Trails at the Clinton Community Nature Center. Located on 617 Dunton Road. 5-8 p.m. $3.00 admission ages 3 & up. Free to Nature Center Members. It will have choreographed light shows, Santa, illuminated trail walks, kids craft center, holiday treats!!!! FUN FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY! Family Game Night DATE: January 9 TIME: 6pm - 9pm All ages are welcome, not just families! Cost $10 per family of 4 or less / $2 per person. The objective of the free Power Up Self Defense Class is to teach individuals of all ages techniques on how to protect themselves in potential life threatening situations. Self-Defense is a great way to fight back for those who may be afraid to walk or drive to certain places that are necessary to visit from time to time. Its not okay to lock yourself in your home or to think that will never happen to me. Free yourself from those thoughts and live a productive life. This class is the perfect start to a new beginning. Please Do Not Rake Leaves Into the Gutter or Street The City of Clinton does not provide loose leaf collection. Leaves should be bagged and placed curbside for collection by Waste Management on the second collection day of the week. Limbs should be cut to lengths of no longer than three feet and bundled and tied no larger than a refrigerator. Municipal regulations require that rubbish be bagged and/or bundled and placed curbside for collection by Waste Management, but not in the gutter. Cuttings, clippings, leaves, and other yard debris shall not be allowed to accumulate in the lawn area for up to fourteen (14) days as to adversely affect the value of property. Residences and businesses with rubbish left curbside for more that 14 days can be cited by City Code Enforcement for violation of city code. Some experts recommend that leaves be mulched over into the yard to provide extra nutrients for grass. Please share this information with your neighbor. This message has been in the water bills, newspaper and media for several months, but we need assistance sharing this message to our residents.
