Its Thursday, December 11th, and heres what is going on in Hornet land.... From MS Academic Pursuit Coaches Wendy Eckstein and Kevin Winton: The 7th grade Academic Pursuit Team continued its winning ways by extending the season record to 3-0 with its 34-13 victory over Decatur. Leading all scorers with an impressive 12 points was Seth Rumler followed by solid performances from Evan Lamar and Alex Geiger. Andrew Galvez, Racheal Harlan, David Hreno, Amy Dilley, and Sara Hale all scored points for the team. Congratulations! The team is off until after break. The next competition is Wednesday, January 14th at BGMS against Raymond Park. As a reminder, there is no practice next week before break. The next practice is Monday, January 5th. The Grade Eight Academic Pursuit Team has concluded the first portion of the season with an undefeated record. The squad defeated the Decatur Central Hawks 24-18. Cameron Hester led the Hornets with 9 points. Ashlynn Morelock scored 4 points for BG. Kinzley Thompson and Lilli Ferguson each scored 3 points. Scoring two points each were Clarence Reel and Isabella Reel. The Hornets will next compete against Warren Central following Christmas Break. Great job Hornets!
