Its Thursday. Time to get up and... ...get ready for a day that is even after all these years is a little difficult to get through. Ive spoken before about my 9/11 memory. I was interviewed by a student yesterday for her history assignment. One question asked was what memories are still vivid for you. I still remember that red pepper I was cutting when I heard of the first plane strike. I still remember the absolutely beautiful skyline I saw as I drove into my first day of work on a new job. I never saw anything so breathtaking. Sue and I had just moved up to Brewster the past December. I felt we had made a good move and my family would be safe. One thing that came out of recent discussions of 9/11 was that I found I hadnt listen to Cheryl Crow singing A Change Will Do You Good, one of the songs I was listening to that morning as I drove to work since 9/11. If I heard it on the radio, I changed the channel. I never listened to that CD again. Its amazing what memories stick with you when you cope with such a traumatic event. Despite the day, I hope that those who have a birthday on this day can find happiness with family and friends. Happy birthday to Tiffany, Bruce, Owen, Omar, Deeandra, Maricel, Terry Lynn, Alexis, and actors Clay Sayre and Tiffany Shepis.
