Its Thursday so get ready for some great tunes JapSoc! This week were going back to J-Rock and have a band called RADWIMPS! RADWIMPS is a Japanese rock band who debuted independently in 2003. Since then they have gained much popularity and have had two #1 songs in the charts! I do not know an awful amount about RADWIMPS history etc. but they do make some great songs. If theres any guitar enthusiasts among you, youll absolutely love them! RADWIMPS are incredibly famous among school and university students in Japan since many people form rock bands with friends during this time and usually some of the first tunes they learn as a band will be ones by RADWIMPS (for example I first learnt about them through my exchange partners band). Their songs could be seen as slightly different from the typical J-Rock but I would say this difference is what creates the characteristic features that people love about them. Their lead singer also has a very distinct voice so its possible you may recognise it. Once again I am posting two songs by them as they go through many sub-genres with their songs. For your information my favourite song by them is おしゃかしゃま (oshakashama) so that is why I am posting it below. いいんですか？(Is it okay?) is also another song I like which has quite a contrasting feel to おしゃかしゃま hence why that is being posted as well. Again you may not like either of these songs but I encourage you to listen to their other songs as you may find some you like. For example their two #1 songs were Dada and Order Made so feel free to listen to those! Lucky thing about RADWIMPS is nearly all their songs are officially on YouTube! \(^o^)/ Hope you enjoy!
