Its a #MonumentMonday and we have a sweet little snake story from Fort Ord National Monument. Youve heard of rescue dogs making an impact in their new home, but how about a snake? Kolbie the California King snake found a home with Ranger Tammy at the Fort Ord National Monument and has made a big impression on monument staff, visitors, and students. Kolbie made her debut at the Pacific Grove Museum of Natural History on Valentines Day and also attended the museums Science Saturday, but her highlight was a visit to Toro Park School. Students learned about snakes and had a chance to connect with Kolbie.
