Its a changing world here. Ever since the English Shepherds and Blue Heeler came to live here, our lives have been in a state of flux. Lots of change, lots of learning, lots of fun too. While the turmoil never settled down, we added to the mix a house yak that needed (and still does) bottle feeding every 4 hours. She also needed attention and stuff to play with. Hell, they all did and still do. Mornings are wild, absolutely crazy but we have just gotten used to it. Wake up, fire up, maintain your footing and try not to keel over with angst. But a gentle shift is taking place. I saw it today. The house yak, Jeannie-Lin, is now bigger than the dogs. Shes not quite aware of it yet but . . . Heh, heh, heh. I know some dogs that wish they were nicer to her now! I also know of a bed that wishes it was of sturdier substance. Yeah, for sure, the dynamics are changing around here. This time next month, Jeannie-Lin will be bigger than all 7 dogs combined. By February/March, she may outweigh me as well. You can bet I am being awfully nice to her. Hey Jeannie-Lin, want me to tell you a bedtime story? I know a good Annie-Maganny epic. And so Jeannie-Lin hops up into the bed,, the mattress groans, and she takes up most of the space while pinning everyones legs and other things down making movement all but impossible. But who wants to go anywhere anyway? Ahh yes, a comfort zone like I have never known. Did I mention warm?
