Its a chilly start across Skye with temperatures close to or just above freezing this morning. We have a dusting of hail / snow from recent wintry showers. So, Saturday will be chilly with a wintry mix of sunshine and showers. Showers will be of hail and sleet, maybe some snow at times away from the coast or above about 150m. It will remain breezy from the south west, especially in the showers though speeds should decrease. Highs of 3 or 4C today. Overnight bands of showers will push south as winds veer into the north. Showers will be of rain, hail and sleet mostly, with snow above about 200m. Cold, with a risk of ice. Sunday will be another day of sunshine and showers, and a brisk northerly wind making it feel quite cold. Showers will increasingly turn to snow through the day, even at low levels. However, pressure will be building from the west through the afternoon and evening to settle things down. A cold day, highs of just 2 or 3C. Very cold overnight with a frost setting in and perhaps the odd wintry shower. Calmer. A cold and bright day on Monday with just the odd, light wintry shower. Light winds and highs of 2 or 3C.
