Its a damn shame about Ray Rice. He just threw away his career. His career is over, as it should be. No excuse for what he did. That video of him hitting his then fiancee (now wife) is horrific and jolting. The video certainly didnt show anything that wouldve fueled Rice to do that. Of course, there is nothing she couldve said or done to justify that. By all accounts Ray Rice had been a model citizen. But, seeing that video I have a hard time believing that was an isolated incident. Then again, maybe it was. Regardless, this entire incident reinforces that one mistake can take it all away. One can never allow a situation or person to provoke them to such actions. Ray Rice is learning that lesson if this is an isolated incident. If its not as I suspect, then Rice needs to get help. Abuse whether it be physical, mental or emotional is about control.
