Its a matter of ones belief about the very makeup of the Universe, of life from the sub atomic to the vast expanses of deep space, from our synaptic pathways in our physical brain to beyond the physical to our metaphysical self. This is about personal discovery and beliefs, it can not be sold to anyone, one must come to it oneself. Few do, in the great numbers of human beings, the percentage of people who come to it are few in number. They are few in number because It is very uncomfortable to be conscious, aware, in each moment cognitive of our choices and the impact we have on ourselves and those by our choices and actions. It takes training and practice to do so and teachings have emerged over millennium to help people with it. Being awake means seeing the immense pain in others in our lives, in our communities and in our world and with that consciousness comes greater empathy to feel that pain. This is very very unpleasant so most people find ways to shut down, become unconscious, tune out and walk through life on autopilot in a self absorbed reactive state. This is understandable of course. Nobody likes to feel pain and suffering. Few can stand with and walk with others pain as if their own, adding it to their own already heavy backpack and helping to lighten others karmic load. Even fewer are the people who have pierced the veil of fear and separation so completely that their resulting love and compassion create waves of greater consciousness that ripple from the individuals they uplift and heal to the generations across space and time whose hearts they activate. We know their names, I need not mention them. Some call them prophets, inspired artists, social justice revolutionaries, enlightened masters, even God. They all express similar core truths. We are all connected. We are responsible for each other. We are responsible for ourselves. We grow from love, compassion and forgiveness. We are more than we can see.
