Its a peculiar experience to see myself gabbing about VHS tapes on my giant TV screen on the supplemental disc of the recent release Adjust Your Tracking: The Untold Story of the VHS Collector. Im in the documentary proper for about fifteen seconds, but Im afforded three minutes on the bonus disc. I talk about working at a mom and pop video store around 1990 and what went on there (throwing tapes at one another when the store was closed; fighting with a drunk customer I wanted to see die in a automobile accident) as well as my love of owning physical media, which I think of as cells of my outer brain. Observations: they spelled my first name properly on the menu but incorrectly on the video clip and my Deep Wound shirt rules.
