Its a pretty super shitty thing to see posts from friends online who have just lost jobs as a result of the massive cuts to ABC and SBS. What is so stupid is that these people are people promoting music and culture - nothing political or in any way shape or form detrimental to our society, only beneficial - and it bothers me because it is a further erosion of good quality broadcasting material and the artistic quality of what is available to many people across Australia. There are as it is nationwide so few outlets for decent public artistic expression in the media as a whole and while there was money wasted by senior members from these media organisations they typically are not the ones paying the price. There is no way the government can justify these cuts it is a real travesty and a massive loss for Australia period.
