Its a rainy Saturday night in the mountains....but who cares. Theres a fire...we had a great dinner, and God is good. I am actually hearing hickory nuts fall on the roof as I type. It reminds me of my childhood. Its pretty awesome actually....rain and all. I wish ALL of you were here...granted, it would be a bit crowded, but we would make it work!! It was great to spend time with my friends. Linda and I have been friends for nearly 50 years. I love her and her hubby of 40 plus years!! Our friendship is one of my most cherished gifts. Three things: 1) I made a few angry this week. Thats okay. I am not in a popularity contest. Its a good thing I suppose:) I feel its my job to speak the truth as I see it. I have that right. So do you. EXERCISE it. Christians are the new bullied crowd. 2) Someone posted on my status that sarcasm was their love language. I love that. It is totally mine. I love PEOPLE, and I love humor. I am not mean as charged....well not unless you are mean to my family......if you hurt them?? You dont want to know. Sometimes I feel like I could write one of those Miranda Lambert songs....and describe how I kick folks that mistreat my babes. 3) Observation form being on a mini vacation in the mountains. *Too much orange. *But yay...even more Kentucky blue, yea, even in TN. We bad. *Pancakes are carbs, they will make people fluffy....like really fast. *There are many Russians here working in restaurants. I am not sure why. *Gospel singers have rock star status here. Realtors dont. :) *Most of us that vacation here are carrying a few extra pounds and own a gun. *People are nice, unless youre getting their parking space at the outlet mall. *Lots of the recipes include apples. *No one orders broccoli. *Everyone came here to GET away....but theyre really sitting in traffic for hours:) *Dollywood is the new Disney World. #greatpark *I think I spotted a member of ISIS :(
