Its a slow process at the moment, but Ive got the overhead console - TopicsExpress

Its a slow process at the moment, but Ive got the overhead console about done, its ready now for fitting in place, although not permanently but its another job done.I made the console from a hard to source piece of 4 x 2 aluminium, cut the holes for everything and had it powder coated in a nice blue candy, the head unit had to be spaced 1 to clear the new wiring harness, so this I made from a piece of hardwood and will paint it black later. The main dash is at a standstill till I get the rest of the wiring done in that area, I can then trial fit it to see if everything works, then strip it down and start prepping for paint, Ive still got some sides and bottom to make for it yet so it looks like a full dash, itll then be sprayed blue metalflake and colour coded flames added. Ive also been altering the window openings to open fully, as the standard van glass had about 4 or so above the door when open, and an annoying little cut-out at the top that allowed cold air in, it now opens/closes as it should, I made new templates for the glass and is at the moment away being toughened. So thats about it really, Im gonna get on it again full steam ahead asap, so Ill post more pics then... Be on stand-by Tony Williamson, well be back in the Hotrod Marquee asap!
