Its actually scary how narrow minded society has been bred up to be. We teach as a society to follow a specific appearance, specific behavior, specific goal, and if this is not done then we are seen as unnatural, irresponsible, insane people. In the last hour on just one website, Ive seen news from Australia about a man harassing and intending to harm a women with her two children purely because she was Muslim. Ive read comments from over a thousand people informing the world that a random male in the picture is a good for nothing criminal because he has visible tattoos and facial piercings before theyve even googled the guy and found out he makes 10x more than them in a year. Ive had to explain to a group of girls why sometimes people see taking their own lives as their only option, and still disregarding everything Ive said because Im just one person without a Doctorate so obviously I dont know enough. Just before you start judging someone, verbally attacking them or having your little keyboard rant against someone you have literally never met in your entire life, consider that just because its not something you have related to, whether a passion for decorating your body, or religion, or an action taken that affects others lives, does not mean it is the wrong thing. Consider opening your mind before you open your mouth for one goddamn minute. This time less than a hundred years ago, black people were still fighting for their rights. Now we find that ludicous. Do you really want to explain to your Muslim or tattooed or suicidal grandkids what you told people like them when you were young and be considered the asshole that you are? TL;DR - dont be a dick.
