Its almost Christmas and Dram Full has just got done reaching our first birthday....and what a year its been, with so much to be thankful for! In our first year weve purchased our first cask of whisky, and completely sold out of it, which is something Im both so chuffed and humbled by. I felt it only fitting seeing as just about everyone who ordered a bottle of our Dram Full Highland Park has picked up or received their bottle to give a public shout out to the many people who made it possible. First thank you goes out to Ian McKinlay from Alba Whisky Whisky/Gordon & MacPhails importer for arranging the cask and all of his hard work regarding it. When Id posted 6 or so months ago on what peoples thoughts on a possible cask purchase were, I was speaking about a year or two from that point, however when he contacted me and explained, well Ill be honest, without him, I wouldnt have gone for a cask this soon. Second thank you has to go out to Dave Withers and the wonderful team at The Oak Barrel for handling distribution in Sydney, you guys did an awesome job! Third thank you has to go out to Joel Beresford, Cellarbrations At Carlisle and Mane Liquor for handling distribution here in Perth, guys it was a massive job, but you guys knocked it out the park! Fourth thank you is a HUGE shout out to Craig Merson of Nippy Sweetie Whiskies for taking care of distribution for Adelaide, Melbourne, Brisbane, and Canberra, easily the most daunting of the distribution jobs, and a last minute notice, but nothing but positive feedback, thanks mate you did a CRACKING job on a very difficult part of this casks life! Fifth shout out has to go out to Barry Coysh for taking care of the accounts side of this cask, Im horrible with math and without him, this whisky would never have got off the ground! And last, but not least, a massive thank you to my lovely wife Thao for being so understanding during the weeks of doing this bottling, she spent many a night being insanely patient with me and the just one more minute I hope everyone has a happy and safe holiday season and stay tuned for 2015 as theres some crazy stuff planned, so to everyone who made 2014 so awesome....this drams for you! Slainte!
