Its always funny how western Yogis, Swamis, Gurus, Acharyas and others try and find niche-markets to franchise their How I became a Hindu to try and justify their so-called negation of their Christian and American pasts. It is sad how many Hindus today actually lap this up like puppies with milk in utter nativity and apply no viveka to what they say. It is just another version of the Colonialist scholars and their views of the Vedas, whereas now we have gora self-professed western Hindus - many of whom dont understand Hindi and Sanskrit terms fully, nor have their studied Nirukta, Nighantu or the original Vedic translations and somehow the naive masses of Hindus have decided, in all of their wisdom to run with their views. This is a shame on Hinduism, shame on all Vedic vidyas and also the Swamis that supposedly uphold it. Think for yourselves and study the shastras yourselves - dont rely on these idiot western Acharyas, Yogis and Gurus of manipulation to shape your mind into simply a synthesised Hinduism! Embrace the views of Yaskacharya, Sri Yajnavalkya, Swami Virajananda, Maharishi Dayananda, Sri Chandraksekharendra Saraswati and others who these so-called Gora Vedic Professors have not even studied, yet profess to be Vedic Scholars!. This new westernised Hinduism with its westernised and Biblical sense and ideology of avatars, yugas, Gandhian ahimsa and such has no place in true Arya Dharma or Sanatana Dharma and is a fallacy! -Ved Kovid, Durgadas
