Its always important to remember those who take risks for peace. And so as the year comes to a close, and as I wind down my reporting journey for The Eleventh Hour: Unlearned Lessons of World War 1, I wanted to commemorate the Christmas Truce. It was 100 years ago this week that German and British soldiers reached out across the Western Front and emerged from the trenches to talk with each other, to sing Christmas hymns and to simply see each other as human.
