Its amazing how a Fabebook post can invoke different emotions, depending on the perception of the reader. A single post can enrage one person, entertain another and enlighten others. Thats why I dont concern myself with how people might feel about something I post. Im a Christian with Conservative values. My posts arent designed to appeal to Liberals and non-Christians. If my posts appealed to everyone, then I have probably compromised my core beliefs in order to appease others......Believe me, thats not going to happen! It saddens me that some people think less of you because you dont think the same thoughts that they think. Im an independent thinker. Im not some robot that someone programs thoughts into. Nor am I someone who blindly follows the herd. My beliefs and ideologies are the result of a combination of research and personal experiences. They are not based on some set of standards that I am expected to adhere to based on my race, socio-economic status, or any other societal tags. I am who I am! I refuse to be what others think I should be. If that makes me an outcast or an Uncle Tom, I will wear the title as a badge of honor. In the meantime, I would like to admonish everyone to take an inventory of your core beliefs. Are they based on research and personal experience, or are they based on a list of pre-determined standards? Are your thoughts your own, or are they simply echoes of the thoughts of your demographic group? Give it some serious thought. I believe youll realize that were more alike than you would care to admit.
