Its amazing how much thought and work goes on behind the scenes as our school leaders and teachers gear up for another school year. Ill mention what Ive seen, but theres probably more going on that I havent seen then what I have. Summer bldg. roof maintenance and repairs, waxed floors, serviced buses, new bus routes, class room scheduling, new books, band camp, football practice, grounds keeping etc etc. One of my favorite events each year is the new teacher luncheon, which is part of their day long orientation. We welcomed and ate lunch with our new teachers today. Its exciting to see and meet so many new faces joining our school system. photos courtesy of Tinye L. Harding (tiny)
