Its amazing how profound an effect a simple thing can have on your life. About a year ago I was in a conversation with a couple of guys at work. It began with my Muslim mate telling somebody they were in danger of hellfire because he was talking about how much of a pain in the ass his mother-in-law was becoming lately. Another [much older] guy said something about not believing in God, and I started crapping on about the god I believe in and that I didnt believe in hell etc. He said well if god comes to me one day, and says hi Geoff, Im God then Ill believe. I kept talking... Now I think back on the past twelve months that single spoken statement has had a more profound effect on my life than a life time of pretending to know the truth because I can read a book.
