Its amazing when you feel like the weight of the world is on your shoulders and your chest is caving under the pressure, you can just look into your childs eyes and feel better. Theyre the only things that matter in this life and they love you. Without hesitation, without doubt or question, you are their daddy and to them you are everything. It makes you feel like youre worth something in a world that seems to have forgotten and forsaken you. Regardless of your financial situation they continue to love you. Not just because they dont understand. I think in more ways than one, kids know when youre stressed. They know when youre down and they know when youre upset. They feel it too. But the way a 2 year old can lift you up by simply grabbing ahold of your finger and saying I love you Daddy before they nod off to sleep is a quiet reassurance that you are doing something worthwhile. My two little boys save me everyday. And I thank God every night for them.
