Its august , I knew this whole month was coming and now its here.. has me really focused on a day, tomorrow, August 10th. a looming anniversary that Im not sure what to do with, another day among many that have passed.... The anniversary of losing our friend Chance Toles, killed by a motorist on his bike on our big century training ride. We cant bring him back, cannot turn back time. But we can be good people, we can do the right thing, we can continue living and still dream of great things. We can make a difference by caring more for people around us, strangers and family. A lot to think about and a lot to thank Chance for, so grateful everyday I was blessed to know him. Today and tomorrow I will ride my bike for hours with my whole heart, with humor, with strength and proud to represent part of something that was Chance. Miss you buddy! and hugs to all his precious family who live every day, every holiday and anniversary with a piece missing from their hearts. Stay safe on the roads everyone, but dont live scared, too much greatness to go for, too many memories and dreams to keep alive in each other:-)
