Its back to work after our last long weekend of the year. We only had 3 3/4 days last week with 11 jobs coming into the shop in various sizes and states coming from as far a field as Liverpool. We also had a surprise visit from our propeller suppliers from India. Sachin and Joy visited us on Thursday midday for a couple of hour to discuss our and their needs for the future. This has led us to place an order for around 50 propellers. This shows our faith in their ability to produce high quality propellers for the UK market. This week has started with a bang also with two fishing boat propellers arriving at our door first thing Tuesday morning one from south of Glasgow and one from Macduff both in need of attention. We also have 5 shafts on order ranging in size from 1 3/4 inch diameter to 2 1/4 inch dia.,this will keep the machinist busy for a couple of weeks. Below in the photos are the 2 of the propellers we are doing at the moment a small 12 inch 2 bladed propeller being build up after the owner cut the tips off!!?? and a 2.1 meter propeller from a fishing boat with the tip missing. Also a photo of an alloy from a car with cracks in it which need repaired (owner always wondered why his tyre was flat) these cracks are cut out and the alloy welded and machined into profile shape
