Its becoming quite public now, so here goes nothing... Because of the direction that the company has decided to go, my tentative last day at the Moline, IL Best Buy is currently set for April 4th, 2014. With the elimination of Sales Supervisors in our stores format, that means this guy has about 5 weeks left in his current role and then its off to something else. This has been an INCREDIBLY difficult pill to swallow and a heart-breaking experience. Im working extremely hard to ensure that this is not a burden, but in fact a golden opportunity for myself and my family. I guess what I really want to say is, THANK YOU!!!! Thank you to everyone for their incredible support that they have shown over the past 48 hours. Not just for myself, but to the others in the store that were affected. It has meant the world to Kodi and myself and its driven me to showers of tears a few times to see how many people truly care about me and my family. We love you guys so much for that, probably more than you will ever know. Seriously, thank you. So, so much. William Witherspoon.....On January 15th, 2012, you took a chance on a 21 year old kid and made him a Supervisor. The four walls that I call my house, my Wife that has been able to stay at home and the ability to have Carter and eventually Natalie and make a great living while doing it, I truly owe it all to you. I love you for it, I appreciate you more than you know for it and I promise I will continue to work just as hard as you did for me in anything that I do. Thank you so much. To my Co-Workers and Best Buy family: Dont ever give up and always give 110% effort, no matter what youre doing. All of you have played a part in turning this company and our store around TREMENDOUSLY and it is all because of your valiant, relentless, hard-working efforts. The people that I have supervised; YOU guys are the reason for all of my successes. I was taught how to do my job, I developed a rhythm and a purpose, you guys bought into it, invested yourselves in it and we did some incredible things as a team. I owe that to all of you, and I hope that youre all proud of the work that we did as a team. Thank you for some of the best memories of my life. Lastly, to my current friends and family and the new relationships that began that have become my favorite customers. Dont ever stop shopping at the Moline, IL Best Buy. I know for a fact that I wont. There are some of the most incredible people Ive ever met at that store that will put EVERYTHING on hold in their lives or workload and truly want take care of the customer from beginning-to-end, and again and again, every time you set foot into that store. There is a passion for taking care of people there. I hope to have contributed to both the environment in the store and I hope that I was a contributing reason as to why people shop there. What do I do next? Simple....bust my ass and never give up. I pride myself on being the best that I can be, no matter what it may be. The hardest worker, the best friend, the best teacher, leader, mentor, student, father, son, husband, whatever. Im not dwelling, Im excited. Who knows...there may be internal positions available and I may not leave the company afterall. However, this is a chance to have the Monday-Friday job, weekends off, holidays off, and I can be the father and husband that I want to be. I will exercise that opportunity, because I owe it to myself and my amazing family. I seriously, from the bottom of my heart, love all of you guys. Again, thank you for the support, it means more than you could ever imagine. :)
