Its been 7 years since my best friend passed away from Leukemia! I can still vividly remember the day I found out...walking through the hospital with my dad and we saw the sign 4 south/Oncology. I remember still in denial that it was my best friend until I saw her lying there in room # 1. I instantly literally dropped to my knees. Words can not express the numbing experience I felt. No one knew what the future would hold for us...for her. I spent the next 9 months by her side...I didnt know what else to do...and after a long and courageous battle with cancer my grandma lost her life May 22, 2007. Tomorrow we walk to support not only precious lives lost but survivors as well.
