Its been a busy day in the yard. We finally build the new chicken pen and started dismantling the temporary digs. We used a dog enclosure 3.2m by 3.2m and placed their chicken coop inside. The chicken coop is also slowly getting a facelift. Today we placed some fake grass on the top and also on their ramp. To fit it in we moved one of our garden beds and sacrificed our cucumbers, cucamelons and carrots. 😯 We used shade cloth across the top after hubby added wire supports. We are also putting some shade cloth around the base so that the dog cant be tempted! The girls seemed very happy with their new abode 🐣 I also made some very easy supports to place shade cloth over the lettuces, cabbages and silverbeet. Hopefully it will help reduce the stress they have been feeling with our very warm spring. I will anchor them properly tomorrow as we ran out of daylight. I am going to get up early tomorrow to finish cleaning up the yard. Hope everyone is having a great weekend.
