Its been a couple months since I mentioned reducing plastic waste in the workplace, but Patrick brought up a good point yesterday about The Ocean Cleanup project, and how the best strategy would be to reduce what gets dumped in the ocean. Uhura Jones just got in contact about University of Washingtons initiative to go even greener. She found a distributor that sells Eco-Products, and had this to say: Oh yay! Thanks! It turns out I might be able to get their products pretty inexpensively! The UW composts through Cedar Grove, who recently started accepting EcoProducts as part of a conditional trial. (link to Cedar Grove below: need compost? Support recycling!) See what we can do? I still need to get in touch with the vendor at The Getty to replace our soup spoons. This is a great kick-in-the-butt to do that!
