Its been a fairly uneventful day today. After speaking to the cardiologist, pulmonologist and cardio-thoracic surgeon we have decided that if nothing changes between now and tomorrow the will take dads tube out and do a tracheotomy. IT WILL ONLY BE TEMPORARY! PTs wean much faster and easier with a trach due to less dead air space and the lack of trauma to the mouth and vocal cords. We are so anxious to get him up and moving that it makes this decision a lot easier. He will be able to come off of some of this sedation and begin healing! While we dont want to do this, God gave us excellent medical professionals, and sound mind to advocate for dad while he is unable to advocate for himself! Im excited to bring him back to real life and get this show on the road! Continue to pray only for Gods will and the hands and minds that touch him as we move forward with the most miraculous healing I have ever seen! #teamphilip #teamGod #miracleman
