Its been a long day- starting with canceled travel plans due to an icky tummy. Followed by discovering all 8 of my hens were slaughtered overnight. I was heartbroken and cried. Then turned to loads of housework, gave up and took my three kids to a musical theatre production of Charlottes Web. The play was fantastic, my youngest was NOT. Just as I was about ready to throw in the towel on the whole darn day, the rain came. Followed by the absolute most amazing rainbow ever. It was beaming on Sleeping Chief- illuminating his face and third eye in a spectacle of multi prism color. I parked, got out and documented. And smiled, so big- that I was there in that moment. Then, driving home the sunset opened up this layered portal of clouds that looked like an opening into another heavenly world. I parked again, got out. It took my breath away and awed me in the best of ways. Thank you Mother Nature- you are the best kind of healer.
