Its been a long day. We drove 6 hours round trip to Maysville, KY and back to attend a meeting on changes to our conference insurance. Effective Mar1 retirees will move from a Medicare supplement to a Medicare Advantage plan... The conference will save money... our monthly premiums will be lower... there are more wellness options... but we will have to pay a higher portion of our costs for medical care. We stopped at Cracker Barrel for dinner and I saw a friend a havnt seen for years. She and her husband are living in Lexington now. I wasnt sure it was her until she called my name. Its always good to see soneone you havent seen for a long time. The drive between Lexington and Paris is a beautiful drive... stately mansions and horse farms. We have meetings closer next week, but Linda has her first chemo treatment Monday and probably wont feel much like traveling. With all the flood of Information about cancer and now trying to figure out our insurance coverage and the emotions of seeing my dear wife going through so much in preparation to battle a terrible disease has left me in kind of a daze. I know God will guide ua through all of this but it gets a little overwhelming at times.
