Its been a long day for people all over the island! Our office dealt with flooding issues from not only our district, but from folks as far away as Middle Island! I know the basements, roads, yards and streets are still flooded and damaged and sumppumps are running double time but I want to thank everyone for remaining levelheaded, neighborly and patient while town workers, highway workers, dpw folks, Pseg staff, fd and police did their jobs. It will take a little time to get things back to normal from this 14 inch rainfall and high groundwater table but it will.
