Its been a long time since I took a civics class, can someone remind me how a national representative democracy works? Whats that? The people elect representatives to be their voice in the national assembly? Oh, I get it. Except I dont. I think this may be the proverbial back breaking straw right here. And it doesnt have anything to do with firing up a doobie since my line of work precludes me from that. In fact I am sure that 70% of the voters here didnt back the measure so that could get mellow on kind bud but are tired of all our treasure, time, and resources being wasted on the criminalization of pot. And Ill use my representative vote in congress to say so. Oh... As longs as citizens of the District just sit back and take it, some loveable local from say Nevada or Harford County will decide how things happen in a place they do not live or represent.
