Its been a nice day. I got to play and do a little recording with a couple of Whatevers today. Denise and Tom (with support from Anissa) Starting new adventures there! Ive been itching to get them on tape for a while. Now that Crispys back we have a veritable wall of vocal sound goin on. And Miss River seems to approve. Getting excited all over again. And then there was the emergency pie/ice cream delivery to Mr. La Chance this afternoon. I tagged along as Denise and Tom and Crispy and Anissa delivered the provisions. Easy howled in delight at all the attention, which he took full enjoyment and advantage of. And Bernard seemed in fine spirits considering the physical troubles he has had lately. I always enjoy his wit. Its been quite a weekend. I have been surrounded by some of my favorite people and musicians for a couple of straight days. Its kind of strange to look around and see that all of a sudden you are doing exactly what you want to be doing. The joy has become in the doing and not the goal. But at the same time that Im feeling so momentarily smug there are so many folks I know, especially my age and older, that are not doing so well. Most times theres not really much you can do except share your time. Most of us have had our hard times. Ive been through some interesting stuff myself. Right now Im doing pretty good. One of these days I wont be. I guess its part of the cycle. Just a ramble about appreciating the moment and all the fine people around me. I love you guys. Peace on you and yours.
