Its been a roller coaster few days but I wanted to give everyone - TopicsExpress

Its been a roller coaster few days but I wanted to give everyone an update. Hunter has been put back on the baclophen for his muscle spasms but were trying two 10mg pills instead of the one 20mg pill because they are made by a different manufacturer and he was able to tolerate the 10mg pills previously. So far so good on hives so pray, pray, pray this works and gives him some relief. I was alarmed because he started running a 102 degree temp late yesterday and felt horrible with body aches and chills but has been fever free today. His poor body is constantly going crazy as the spinal cord controls so much, but I really feel that these are all signs of healing and things waking up! Still so real pronounced leg movement, but this evening Hunter told me hes starting to feel more sensation than ever in his bottom and legs. He can feel when they get turned to the side now and said its intense prickly pins and needles pain where he previously felt nothing! Praise God and heal spinal cord heal! Hunter also was fitted for a personal custom wheelchair(he chose Indy colors) today and he handled it well other than being a little down and quiet. He said, Yall are talking like Im going to be in this forever and Im not! We assured him again that this is part of the rehab process and that just like everything else it can be ditched as soon as he doesnt need it anymore. His PT assured him orders are easy to cancel! But, hes understanding he needs what he needs to get better. Speaking of ditching things...his neck x-ray last night looked great(thanks Dr. Gaspard:)and he got to ditch his neck brace today. First day without it and his neck hasnt been sore at all! PTL! On a sad note, my mom left Sunday to travel back to her hometown of Lexington, TN for the funeral of her brother and my uncle Jeff. He passed away in his home last week due to heart complications. My heart was broken not to be there with my family and precious cousins. Family and friends in Lexington have been such amazing prayer warriors for Hunter...thank you so much. My memories of fun and silly Uncle Jeff will forever be an important part of my life. RIP with the Lord Uncle Jeff and everyone please keep my cousins, mom and her sister in your prayers. There has been a lot of heartache in my family recently but we are continuing to feel and receive Gods glory as He continues to talk to us through scripture, prayer, devotionals and testimonials. Im amazed at how God doesnt let us be down for long! Pray for a continued miraculous week of healing in Hunters abdomen and legs this week as we continue to move towards his COMPLETE healing! We feel the power of this army everyday...thank you so much. #hunterstrong -Emily
