Its been a rough couple days and the meanings of love and home in my life have been a topic of focus. As I was driving to school today I was debating whether or not I should spend $5 on a cup of coffee and of course still thinking about those two words. I decided to stop for Starbucks and as I was walking out, a homeless man was standing there holding a sign with a Mother Theresa quote, love begins at home and it is not how much we do but how much love we put in that action. I stopped in my tracks with my $5 cup of coffee, reached into my wallet, found $2 and couldnt think of anything else I wanted to do with that $2. I gave it to the man and he said God bless you with the biggest smile on his face. I said Sir, you have no idea, God bless you. Ive gotten everything Ive needed the last few days: a good cry, a day to relax, a wonderful talk, and many many realizations. I love you, Patrick Connolly, and thank you for being right there by my side through my ups and downs.
