Its been a rough day... Like most of Australia, weve watched the hostage situation in Sydney unfold with feelings of confusion and sadness... Weve also watched our little boy being subjected to more tests, more procedures. We held him whilst he fought having ears examined and blood taken. We attempted to console him when he was given a sedative so that he could have an EEG. We watched, helpless, as he fought the medication and finally submitted after nearly two hours of frustration and tears... Tonight, as I tucked him into bed, he hugged me close... it was almost like he was saying everythings going to be ok. But will it be ok? We dont know... Just as we hope and pray that the hostage situation in Sydney is resolved peacefully, we also hope and pray that all will be ok with our gentle little boy. But we dont know... and it breaks my heart. Hold your loved ones a little closer tonight... you never know whats just around the corner. x
