Its been a rough day but I have to say thank you for all your thoughts today. While I know it was the right time, I cant help but feel like I did something wrong. The vet wanted to take her in the back just to put an IV in to give her a sedative. Sasha was not having it she looked at me and put her paw on my arm for those who know her knows what Im talking about. This broke my heart but again listening to her pant so heavily weighed heavy on my heart. Alex and I did not leave her side, when the sedative finally kicked in a little she laid down and I laid next to her kissing and petting her telling her was ok. I was kissing her as she took her last breath and with that she was gone. Sasha was a wonderful dog and I like to think she had a wonderful 14 years. She was MY dog and was always at my side and underfoot it will take time to recover from this. I have my wonderful husband who is just as heartbroken, and of course my two other fur babies to help. It was a hard decision that many people have had to make and will have to make. ok Im done, Ive said what I have to say about that. My eyes are heavy as well as my heart I think I will go to sleep.
