Its been a stressful, eye-opening day. As to not keep anyone out of the loop, Woody complained of chest pains this morning at 3am. He went to the emergency clinic down the hill from us where they did 6 EKGs. The first two suggested abnormalities, the next four kept improving. The doctor at the clinic spoke to a cardiologist at the hospital and he suggested they conduct more tests so they admitted him to the hospital. Woody was still experiencing pressure even though the pain had dissipated. They did an ultrasound on his heart and the cardiologist suggested they move forward with a cardiac catheterization to determine the exact cause of pressure and pain. And its a good thing they did. One of his arteries was completely blocked and another had plaque in it. They placed a stint in the blocked artery after they flushed it. After a couple hours they wheeled him back to the room and the doctor plus nurses said he did great! Hes doing great and is no longer having any pain or pressure! He will be in the hospital under observation for the next couple of days. Please keep him in your prayers for a speedy recovery!
