Its been a tough day for me. Im grateful for my Lupus friends in our Group who lift me up every day! Im grateful to my daughter who found this online Support Group and signed me up. I have never really been into Facebook, however I look forward to getting on now every day. Its the first thing I do every morning and the last thing at night to check on everyone. This support group has made me grow in so many ways, connecting with people who have the same struggles, the young Mothers who struggle with fatigue and are sick or a daily basis are such an inspiration to me. The people who post from their hospital beds, the people who pray for others and lend their support to lift up each other. These people are family. Ive known a lot of people in my life and I can honestly say that this group collectively is the best of the best! I am honored to be a part of their families. Lupus is a Cruel Disease from which there is no cure! Lupus does not discriminate! On the average a person has Lupus for 5 years before they get a diagnosis. Leaving families broke financially, Mentally, Spiritually and physically Bankrupt! Familys are torn apart. Healthy people cannot comprehend. If you would just get up and do something you will feel better. Yeah right? There must not be anything wrong with you, the Doctors havent found anything. Yeah right? Doctors think you are Drug seeking. After all they did blood work and everything looks ok. Yeah right? If you dont know what lupus is Im challenging you to Google lupus. I googled everything I could find for the 5 years I was sick and never thought of Lupus. We need to find a cure for Lupus. Everyone needs to keep lupus in the front of your mind in the event you have a family member who gets sick, fatigue so bad you arent able to do anything. Remember lupus doesnt discriminate! Small children, teenagers, middle age, older people. I dont have a family history. I did not fit the stereotype of someone with Lupus. Alot of people with fibromyalgia may also have Lupus. For some reason when people get autoimmune disorders the immune system doesnt stop with just one. You can get several. Symptoms from one, Symptoms from another and diagnosis is. ...drum roll. ...You are lazy, You are crazy, You are making it up? Educate yourself. Do you really want to be sick for 5 years before you get a diagnosis? Good night everyone and God bless you!
