Its been a very busy two weeks. Attended the Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce Hob Nob on the 14th. Met Wayne Mason, Rodney Hammond of Berkeley Lake City Council and many others. Great time. Thursday 16, participated in the Ebony Society/Delta Theta Sigma forum at GJAC. Good audience turnout, unfortunately, some of the candidates were conspicuously missing. Saturday, went downtown to the Artmore Hotel and was a guest speaker with Tom Wight, Valerie Wilson and Dubose Porter at the Save Social Security event. Made Channel 11 news. Tamara Johnson came and supported the event. Sun 18th went to the DPG Headquarters at Trabert and attended the Asian caucus. Monday 20th participated in the Peachtree Corners Forum at Christ the King Church. Everyone was so nice and received such support and feedback after the event. The team putting the event on, Scott Hilton and Sherry Ferguson, were terrific. They put all of the candidates at ease and made everyone feel welcomed. Last night went to the Peachtree Corners City Council meeting to hear the discussion on a rezoning for a crematory. The council voted to deny the rezoning petition. Amazing what a community group can accomplish with dedication and organization. Today attended the Progressive Business Development mtg in Norcross. Later went to Three Blind Mice in Lilburn and talked with Michelle West candidate for Lilburn City Council. She will be a great addition to the council. Be sure to vote for Michelle. Afterwards, met with AJC reporter Arielle Kass at Loving Hut, a local Vegan restaurant in Norcross and we talked about my race, why I decided to run and what I want to accomplish. Look for the article in the upcoming few days. In my spare time, I posted on FB. Everyone is working so hard to make me the next Gwinnett County Commissioner. I am so proud of my volunteers, you are the absolute best! Social Security Video below
