Its been a very long 24 hrs but its certainly not all been bad. I have a lovely room with a freshly made bed and new play area for B after going home for a turkey dinner made by my Mom. Weve had great Nurses all around today (Darren and Amy today and Tanya whos a g-tube parent tonight), and again tonight and Mr.Bs charm is already getting known in this hospital so far from home. There have also been a great deal of bumps in our path but we just try to stepover each one as we get to it. We should have a good idea what direction we are headed in by morning with B. If the two antibiotics are kicking in (and not a virus), and if the Dex relieves his lungs a bit, we should see a noted improvement by morning. Now is the time for B to prove me wrong and show me he can overcome this and get home, no pressure sweet boy. As it is Thanksgiving today, we have SO much to be thankful for. We are less than a month away from Bs THIRD Birthday! We are surrounded, loved and supported no matter where we might be and we have the greatest family and friends. As you can tell from my post that I am allowing myself to feel a small amount of hope tonight. Am I happy with all that has transpired or the tough decisions to make or fights to fight here? No. But I am so thankful for all of you, your comments and your kindness. You lift me up and force me to see goodness in life where sometimes I struggle. We are fed, we are warm and we are loved. Happy Thanksgiving everyone, I hope you all had a safe and warm holiday surrounded by love near or far. Life is so incredibly trying and frustrating at times but what it comes down to is that weve got B and hes got us (and all of you) ♥♥♥
