Its been a week of regular storms and remarkable pictures from so many of our photographers. THANK YOU for sharing these marvelous shots with us. The shots Im posting include Rebecca Herliens shelf-cloud shot from Yorkville; Christopher Mueller photographed storms heading into Oswego earlier this week while Shari Czerwinski captures threatening skies sweeping into Sugar Grove with one of the weeks waves of storms. From a drone above Shorewood, Illinois, comes this spectacular panorama view of an incoming shelf cloud from Daniel Hoffman. Connie Anderson shares this post-storm rainbow shot with us from the Chebanse area while Michele Furlane captures rays of sun breaking through departing storm clouds. And finally, while the Midwest deals with waves of downpour-generating thunderstorms and a surplus of moisture, drought grips much of the West and Bourbonnais-native now Oregon-based firefighter Jerry Suprenant shares a series of freshly-shot wildfire photos with us. They were taken Friday at the end of a grueling 18 hour work day fighting the Bryant blaze which is burning in south-central Oregon. Loggers in the area may have accidentally sparked the blaze which has taken off in the dry environment. PLEASE---be safe, Jerry! Thats hazardous duty! THANKS to ALL of our remarkable photographers and to each of you who have been so wonderful in getting remarkable shots of our ever-changing weather to us! Have a spectacular weekend!
