Its been a while since I went long in here, so enjoy. It will be worth the wait. I dedicate this song to my daughter, Kylie Taylor Downing because of a situation that occurred this afternoon. On my honor, it went down just like this. We were watching this show we like called the Goldbergs on DVR. The daughter on the show and her friend were doing a duet of Eternal Flame. It sounded pretty and Kylie asked if we could rewind and play it again. This goes on for a while until I finally pull it up on YouTube and she sees an actual music video from the 80s. Play the song a few more times until she has basically memorized the words. I explain to her that when that song came out, I was the same age as the older brother on the TV show and had a huge crush on Suzanna Hoffs of the Bangles, like I imagine millions of other high school boys in the 80s did. She laughed and asked Did you loooove her? And teased me a little bit. I said I loved her like she loves that kid Dean at school. She stopped dead in her tracks and asked me have you been a jerk since that song came out when you were a kid? Dean is nicer than that girl and you better not let Mom know you loved somebody else True story......... Nancy, in the mid 80s, I had a thing for the singer from the Bangles and Kylie didnt think I had the courage to tell you. Sorry for any confusion or hard feelings :). We have a very unique little girl...........God help us all LOL
