Its been a whole year since we walked the halls of the academy, ate that last meal in the cafeteria, that last stroll through the crossroads, shut the door to our temporary homes for our 10 weeks there. We have all lost one friend from our class in this year, and hope not to repeat that experience for a long long time. A few of have had tragedies strike their departments that will inevitably shape their lives for ever. Some have been promoted or soon will be. I got to meet one classmates mother this summer, and met up with a classmate and his wife who were on a cruise and we had a great afternoon together here in Skagway and hope to see more of you over the next few years. I hope a few of you will take the FBINA cruise up in 2015. Its been a whole year now and year to reflect on our 10 weeks there at the academy, to put the use the instruction we received, a year to gain back weight we promised ourselves we would never let happen, a year to forget the loneliness we felt being away from our loved ones we left at home for those long weeks. How ever you may have felt about the academy the day we left I bet there is not a single one of us who dont reflect back on our experience there and feel differently then we did then, I know I do. What a ride, what a great bunch of men and women, what an honor.
