Its been almost a year since Tops started the Pending Coffee initiative. For those not familiar with the Pending coffee.... its a program where by you, the customer, can pay it forward by purchasing a pending coffee for $1. That money goes in to the Pending Coffee fund. Then if someone who is down and out / struggling comes in, we can offer them a free coffee or even meal depending on how much is in the fund. Well, I am happy to say that over the past year... you, our generous customers, have donated over $2,300 to the Pending Coffee fund. And as you know, shortly after the program took off, we realized that your generosity was going to far outrun the frequency of people coming in that we could help out. So, every few months, weve donated the surplus in the coffee fund to the local food banks in the form of food vouchers... so that again, those less fortunate would be able to take advantage of them. I have always been overwhelmed by the generosity of Huntingdon County people in the time of need... and this is just another example of your kindness. Thanks everyone!!
