Its been awhile since I posted about the buckskin mare that had the buckskin filly named Punkin....I had mentioned that we were trying to buy the mare....... Well, the owner decided NOT to sell her to us after all. She had her coggins & health certificate and was scheduled to be transported to Idaho in 2 days. :( My cousin was here from Whidby Island visiting, and wanted to ride out on the range....a friend needed his mares and foals rounded up and penned, so my son, my cousin and I saddled up the buckskin mare along with two ther horses to do this....... I figured this would be the last time I would ever ride or see Momma :( I asked my cousin if she thought I would be hung for horse theivin? :-( She told my son to email the owner again and tell him that his Momma was just heartbroken about not being able to keep the mare after getting so attached to her these last 3 months of delivering her foal and caring for them.....so he did and offered a little more money....... The owner reconsidered! And Momma is now ours! :-D WHEW! Im SO very thankful for this! :-D And now Punkin wont have to be weaned at 3 months of age either! :-D
