Its been eight years since I last heard this, and roughly the same amount of time since I dared to even think about it or mention its name in public. Annos Italy - What can I say, Transgressive records flatly refused to release it as our first single (thank you, things may have turned out very differently otherwise) and from there onwards we discovered that quite popular music genre called Pop and learnt to place our Progressive fantasies into slightly more time-friendly parameters. Listening to it last night was interesting... I cringed with embarrassment and grinned with gladness in equal measure for when I was able to listen past the extended codas and the 5minute guitar solos what I actually heard was the intent and the passion of 5 best friends playing music together in a room. Whatever you take from its 12minutes and its closing section with Latin lyrics, it is at least unapologetic, Annos Italy is PROUD to be Annos Italy and thats good enough for me.
