Its been five years today, since Dad left us to be with Mom. He needed to be with her to celebrate what would have been their 55th wedding anniversary the day after we said goodbye. My brother Brett wrote something earlier today that I know expresses what I along with Don and Mark would want to say: I think about both of them every day. I think about how much they loved the town of Ulysses and their friends in that farming community. I think about how dad somehow planned his passing, one day before their wedding anniversary. I know mom was whispering in his ear from heaven asking him to join her. Genzo was finally early with an anniversary gift for mom. If you knew mom and dad then you know they wouldnt want you to be sad for them. Heck, theyre having a great time in the great beyond. If you want, remember them with a prayer, a laugh, a big hug or raise a glass in their honor. Below is a link to a wonderful story that Brett put together while they were both with us. Its hard to believe it was put together nearly 10 years ago, but still is emotional yet heartwarming to watch. Cheers Mom and Dad, I love you.
