Its been one year since her life has changed. Last year, I took her to the doctor for a check up cause I was concerned about her constant need to go to the bathroom. Instead we learned she had type 1 diabetes. We have had our ups and downs, but Erica is a trooper. She now does about 75% of her own injections, does all her blood sugar readings, counts her own carbs. She has the full support of her parents of course and we will always help her. She has gained her weight back. She eats healthier than most people we know. Mommy and Daddy are so proud of you Erica. We love you so much.
